Corporate Crime & Compliance
Engagement & Fees

How an Engagement Works

Every mandate begins with a clearly defined scope of work. Where the scope can be fixed in advance, so can the fee; where it cannot, the day rate is stated openly. Engagements are accepted directly or in coordination with instructed counsel.

What I Am Engaged For

Four recurring formats. Each can be narrowed or combined; the figures below are starting points, not price lists.

Criminological Compliance Risk Assessment

Structured analysis of incentive systems, boundary roles, control gaps and cultural indicators, condensed into a prioritized risk map with remediation guidance. The assessment is designed for mid-sized companies and looks at how decisions are actually made rather than at how they are documented.

Typical scope 10–15 consulting days. Fixed fee from €15,000 plus VAT, with a binding quote issued after a scoping call.

Advisory & Investigations Support

Scientific and methodological support for compliance functions and instructed counsel. The range runs from a targeted analysis of a single question to full support of an internal investigation, including interview planning, document review strategy and the structure of the final report.

Day rate from €1,500 plus VAT. Project work is quoted on a fixed-fee basis once the scope is settled.

Training & Workshops

Criminology-based compliance training for management, sales and control functions. The sessions are built around real decision situations rather than abstract rules, since the difficulty in practice is rarely knowing the rule but recognizing the moment it applies.

Conditions on request, depending on group size, format and preparation required.

How Engagements Work

An inquiry is followed by a conflict check, then by a written scope and a fixed quote. Engagement follows directly or via instructed counsel, depending on the matter. Nothing is billed before the scope is agreed in writing.
